Flexible Payment Options

Flexible Payment Options

No two businesses have the same exact needs, so we work with you to arrange a contract that works best for you. Here is an overview of possible arrangements:

Retainer for Long or Ongoing Projects

If you have a project that will span three or more months, or have a need for ongoing support, a retainer is your best bet. This ensures that you will have people dedicated to your project for the hours and months needed, and can cap the amount to what fits your budget. You can save over 15% by employing a retainer. Please contact us for more information.

Project Fee for Well-Defined, Limited Projects

Some projects are simple, well-defined and short term, e.g. a 12-page marketing brochure. Definition of the project will include the number of concepts, revisions and pages that will be provided for the quoted price; additional work beyond the stated scope will result in additional charges.

Hourly Rate and Cost Estimate for Projects with Undefined Scope

Sometimes it’s difficult to say up front how much time a project will require, for instance, if the format or technical specifications are undefined, the scope may change, or there are unknowns involved such as the number of pages in a brochure or the technology needed for a web application. For these projects it is best to break the project into phases, and estimate each phase separately. This is especially useful for projects where there is a lot of creative concepting at the start of the project. Once the initial concept and definition phase is complete, subsequent phases can be defined and estimated more tightly. If your project requires a lot of hours over several months, you can cut costs by using a retainer.

Sub-Contracting Arrangements

If you are a marketing consultant or web developer and would like Red Beret Design to serve on your virtual team, subcontracting arrangements can be made. Please call to discuss the possibility of a reduced rate for subcontracting.

Equity

For select companies, arrangements can be negotiated for partial payment to be made in stock.

Payment Terms

For all new clients, and for all multi-month and multi-phase projects, a deposit will be required. Retainers are paid at the beginning of the retained month.

Payment Arrangements for Teams and Vendors

As each team member may have their own billing methodology, payment arrangements for teams will be specific to each project. Please let us know if you prefer to work with a single payee, and arrangements will be made to have all other team members work as subcontractors. Red Beret Design is not a reseller of printed material or other goods, so payments to printers and similar vendors must be made directly.
